Overall the best gym in CT. Good weekend hours, clean equipment, friendly staff, friendly members, parking is always available, has a juice bar, has more amenities than any other gym, and the gym is never packed even at its peak hours. Prices are very reasonable since there is no contract. Being here since 2019 I have made a solid amount of progress especially with guidance of the trainers. Went from a frail 145lbs to 185lbs and made solid growth.
Great gym, terrible maintenance. LA fitness is great as it has a lot of equipment, a sauna, pool, basketball courts, and more. However, there's almost always something broken. Expect the pool to undergo maintenance a few times each year which each repair lasting a couple extra weeks then their expected date. Also, no staff member will have an idea of when it'll reopen. The sauna is often closed and the hot tub works 40% of the time. If you just want to workout and lift weights, then this is the place for you. If you are someone who likes to enjoy the amenities at LA or you have health conditions which require you to use the sauna and hot tub, then I suggest you don't become dependent on this gym to accommodate your needs. The weekend hours are also not great.

my all-time favourite gym! thereās plenty of space and equipment, yoga, cycling classes, semi-private rooms, a pool, hot tub sauna, basketball court, tennis/free courts, and more. the staff has always been very kind and take concerns seriously. if only there was an LA like this one in Boston
Very large, clean gym. Recently they replaced all the padding on machines that were worn. Not an intimidating atmosphere at all, you will find all age levels here. Pool, paddle ball courts, two large rooms for classes, and a large basketball court and spinning room. I would give a fifth star if it wasn't so oppressively hot inside. If you are going to reduce the AC, can you put in some large fans like Planet Fitness?
I've been a member at this gym for two years now, and it's been a great experience. It's never super packed, the general manager is very friendly, and Itās overall a very comfortable environment. I switched from big sky because it was always crowded, and I had to wait for machinesā¦.
Overall, a high quality gym in every respect. However, beware of one front-desk attendant in particular. Very rude, highly āstrangeā and anti-social - almost accused me of stealing from lost & found bucket. This man is older, and detested by many at the gym. He enjoys a power tripā¦wants to make himself feel important and like heās able to āLordā power over you. Youāll know who Iām talking about immediately upon interacting. All other staff are wonderful, respectful & professional in my experience.
